In a nutshell - A Banker-turned-Entrepreneur. I started my career crunching numbers, first as a Chartered Accountant and then, as an Investment Banker. Innate curiosity led me to develop a knack for understanding trends underlying industries such as building materials, consumer goods and metals and mining. Over time, I became an advisor of choice at Bank of America Merrill Lynch for clients such as the Aditya Birla Group, Carlyle PE, Vedanta Resources and CRH. The biggest achievement for me was being offered advisory assignments even after I had quit investment banking. That decade at Merrill Lynch, I observed not only a transition in the industry but also my company – from DSP Merrill Lynch to Merrill Lynch to Bank of America Merrill Lynch – more importantly, observed how the transitions were handled, by me and others around me.
