Hi Smiriti, So XAT will require some dedicated practise in terms of the quant as the XAT questions are concept heavy as well as time consuming. SNAP would be relatively easier and you need to focus on speed for SNAP quant.

Hi Krishna, XAT quant is generally a little tricky in terms of quant, as they tend to be a little calculation heavy. I suggest look at past years cut-offs carefully and play to that advantage. It is very rare that people solve most of the problems in the quant section, hence aim for the cutoffs and ensure enough time is left for the other sections.

Also I would suggest giving XAT and SNAP if not anything else but as a backup. Dont have to join but giving the exams also helps to get better wrt practise and time management.

Hi Tushan, I'd suggest give it another shot. If you can pull your score to around 210+ that would really increase your chances. As for IIFT, the cutoffs generally hover around the 44-48 range. You can find a details analysis here: https://insideiim.com/iift-2016-analysis-and-preliminary-cutoffs/

Hi Pankaj, you can write CMAT and SNAP. There's also NMAT that allows multiple attempts.

Yes, CMAT and MHCET also has a lot of good colleges. I would say focus on CMAT though as JB, KJsom, Wellinkar all accept CMAT scores.

I would suggest everyone to continue giving mocks just as you all must have given for CAT. The is the best practise to get the time management right and keep a tab at your strengths and weaknesses.

XAT would need additional practise for Quant so solve a lot of sums. At the same time try to have a time estimate for each section as sectional cutoff generally create a problem for all.

As far as SNAP is concerned, the number of questions will be high but the difficulty levels are on the lower side, so ensure that you dont waste too much time on any particular question. Aim for maximum solved questions for SNAP.

GK would require you to go through all the current affairs of 2016 and all prizes and international days which are asked pretty often.
