Hello and welcome! I hope you guys had a good CAT!
1. It is hard to tell precisely how well one has done, and how everyone else has done (to get an idea of percentile). Speculation will give you a broad range but only result day will reveal the truth.
2. Do a complete analysis now, and discuss it with friends, but take a break, reset and work towards the next target by Wednesday.
3. Since there were no major surprises, the key takeaways are your performance under pressure, and your performance across different topics. Use this information to modify your strategy for the remaining exams.
Hi Abhishek, I didn't do CAT well, so I've to keep my full focus on XAT. Can you please tell us your strategy for XAT
How did you allot time for each section and what are the changes you did in your preparation?

XAT is pen and paper, so I modified my attempt duration on the spot depending on difficulty of exam.
Please share your email ID so I can send you a detailed step by step plan.

Yes, the normalization will be done to take care of students in slot 2. The extent of normalization (in your case 20 marks) will be done by IIMB after extensive number crunching. Let's see to what extent they favour the second slot candidates.

What can be the expected cutoff for XIMB-HR through NMAT?

slot 1 or slot 2 wich was more difficult?
03:14 PM
Abhishek Tahlan
Slot 2 was noticeably more difficult, so average no of attempts for the evening guys is 3-4 questions less. Normalization will take care of that. All the best.
03:17 PM
Amit Chauhan

03:15 PM
Abhishek Tahlan
Calls can also come at lower percentiles, but because of decent weightage to written score, one should have at least 98 to convert BM and 95 for HR (except rare exceptions).
Aim to cross or get as close to 99 percentile as possible. Interview will also play a big role, so a good performance there will also be important.

Will there be any variation in B school Cutoff ? like IMT ghazhibad is around 90% so if any one gets around 85 then wat will happen do they consider that ? will a good academic profile work in that case?

Check detailed full and sectional cutoffs in these links
XLRI, SP Jain, XIMB, IMT, Great lakes, Tapmi. I might be missing 1 or 2.
The first three are the main motivation for most candidates.

Cutoff of colleges keeps changing every year, because colleges want to modify the batch profile (reducing no. of engineers etc.). Hard to predict this year's cutoff.
Profile and interview performance will play a big role, so do your best with whatever calls you get.

Weightage is unknown, so we cant say its not accounted. But people with bad profiles can convert with good performance in all rounds.
