Hi Ilisha, The descriptive section judges you on the basis of your creativity, ideation and your ability to put forth your ideas in limited number of words and in limited time. We'd recommend you to be aware of the lates news around you as it will help you in defending or supporting arguments in he first section of the Descriptive Test. The second section will have 4 pictures using which you have to weave your story. Try finding 4 random pictures and practice for this everyday and you should do well.

Hi Sanjana, MICA gives CAT/XAT/GMAT 50% weightage for GEPI shortlisting. The rest 50% is MICAT. The cutoffs have not been ascertained at this stage as it will be relative for the entire aspirant pool. Hence, a good attempt at MICAT can work in your favour.

The psychometric section is a mandatory qualifier. After which, you will be judged on your CAT/XAT/GMAT and MICAT aptitude performances. Once you clear all the sectional and overall cutoffs, your descriptive section will be evaluated. A good performance in descriptive is ideal for shortlisting.
