I am a nonIIT GEM(fresher) with acads 95/85/70. I am expecting 99+ from various institutes' percentile predictor. As extra curricular, I have certi of : 1)organiser- a college level Social event, 2)volunteer - a cultural event, 3) certificate for competent leadership from Toastmasters International (a public speaking club). That's it. Is this enough for profile at iim admission interviews as well as final/summer placements at iims.

Hey, your profile is decent, and your extracurricular activities are also really good. Ok, so you want to choose between the two, I would suggest that you don't at this point. Your perspective will change a lot after joining an MBA program and its better to make a decision then. Operations: Six Sigma: The BSI group offers 4 different certifications – The Six-Sigma yellow best (customised price), green belt (₹ 28,000) and the lean practitioner (₹ 28,000). These certifications are for people interested in operations, process management, and quality control. Marketing: -Google AdWords: An AdWords certification allows individuals to demonstrate that Google recognises them as an expert in online advertising. It’s a free certification and has to be renewed every 12 months. -Google Online marketing fundamentals (free) Try to do these certificates.

Yes, It has to be taken after every 12 months to maintain it. For example, if you take and pass the AdWords Fundamentals exam in March you'll need to retake and pass the AdWords Fundamentals exam by March of the following year in order to maintain your AdWords certification. Just google: Adwords certification and you will find everything.

Ok, i get it now. The IIMs want students who are capable of performing well in all spheres of life like sports, music, dance, public speaking and not just academics hence if you have some past achievement or CO CURRICULAR ACTIVIES then they will help you during the interview round. Try to add things to your CV since you don't have good acads, whether in the form of certifications or anything else.
