    03:20 PM

    Profile Picture Swathika Selvam

Firstly why would you think so ? Secondly, B-School is not about surviving.. YOu have come this far writing all those entrances, clearing GDPIs.. all just to survive? YOu have to succeed. Thirdly, it is all about how you showcase your talent. One does not have to an extrovert to showcase talent. There are so many introverts here who are more than just excelling, winning various competitions, topping subjects, getting placed in top-notch companies and all that.. :) You just have to get rid of that thought so that you do not inhibit yourself.

Hi...so how has your journey been at IIM Indore......Did you find it different from what you expected it to be....????

    03:31 PM

    Profile Picture Swathika Selvam

Well i had a few friends who happened to be my seniors at IIM-I. SO I spoke with them before coming and i knew what to expect and what not to :) Like I asked them how classes will be conducted, how the placement scenes are to even how we can get the laundry done.. I also got tips from them. But life here at Planet-I is amazing! ..From classes to friends to culture to basically everything!.. I can't deny but first term was very hectic and challenging.. But you get used to it..and you start exploring things.. ANd am already starting to dread that i have only only 3 months left here :(

Hi Neeraj, I would say wait for your results. Because you never know what is in store. You could decide later based on your scores. But for now, do not stop preparing for GDPIs (Gaining some extra knowledge isn't as bad as gaining some extra weight :P) ..And we will hope fr the best. Decide a cut off for yourself. LIke for instance unless you get a certain col you will write CAT again..

Good one. I just published an article today about HOP(HImalayan OUtbound Programme). Well its a 4 credit course offered in term 5. SO unless you are going for the exchange programme, you can go for HOP. It is probably the BEST ever experience where we are exposed to nature at its best. You also climb the mountains with a cause). Below is the article link to know more about HOP.

    04:06 PM

    Profile Picture Swathika Selvam

Nope, it would not affect. Just build a good finance profile for yourself with those certifications, live projects, electives..You are more than good to go. Also finance is not only banking, investments, credit risks etc.. You can end up in finance roles in the construction industry as well.. like LnT Finance etc..

    Also, please brief about RIP

    04:07 PM

    Profile Picture Swathika Selvam

RIP(Rural Immersion Programme) is conducted in the 2 nd trimester.. We are split into Groups of 4-5 and sent to the rural parts of MP for a project. Mine was about open defecation and how can we prevent that ..SO we spent 2-3 days visiting villages, taking surveys etc and we came up with data points and how to prevent this condition based on the identification of the root cause. RIP makes us understand that there are problems beyond the corporate world that we can contribute to, to make better :)
