ankush sir my academics scores are below the cutt offs of IIMs but as my graduation percentage is above 50 and below 60 so I can sit for the CAT entrance exam so last year while appear in CAT 2016 my percentile was around 73 % so I wanted to sit for the CAT entrance exam this year too but I have the query is that if I get 100% in CAT 2017 do you think I will be able to get into through admission in the old top 6 IIMs A B C K L and Indore will I get admission and I have completed my three years degree course BBA in 6 yrs so I am tensed

@so nu. frankly the older iims give huge importance to graduation score. So i would say unless CAT score is very high it is difficult to crack older IIMs and in some cases even newer IIMs. The key to break out of this is to have a work ex of 2-3 years and score marks bonus points there

1. you can never predict CAT score so do not base your profile on that metric alone 2. Get work ex. It helps enhance the MBA experience and helps crack better colleges!

Justifying GAP is always tough. You need to tell them why you did not join some other company. If you are convincing enough, you get through. If not, Its tough!

I can predict that in current position I can get overall 80-85 percentile I have strengths to that level but bloody people throw 99 percentile with even minimum effort feeling too depressed

I read a lot of books. Therefore my speed is decent. That woul be the best way to improve upon that. If the time is in paucity, i would suggest try speed reading tests online

sir just 1 question regarding XAT is that the XLRI gives 65 % to XAT score 5 marks to GK 5 marks to essay 20 marks on gdpi and 5 marks for academic scores and work experience so sir do you think of that 5 marks if it is been deducted from mine because of no work ex and poor academics score will I still able to get into admission in XLRI after dcorin 100
