You need not worry about that right now. In most IIMs there is no specialisation necessary. You choose it in most other schools in the 2nd year. You will know by then what your inclination is. Also you will know after your internship.

You have a decent shot at companies like Deloitte, KPMG etc. McKinsey Operations Consulting you can fight for as well but you'll need stellar acads at NITIE to stand a chance apart from very strong extra-currics.

Prior work-ex is not an issue. Just ensure you are maintaining your acads in business school. Also, try to be part of Finance clubs. Win fin competitions etc.

No right answer to this question. Depends on your inclination - for marketing roles definitely both NMIMS and SIBM Pune will be better. For Finance NMIMS. Long term its possible IIM Ranchi build a better brand but there is a big 'if'.

I am Computer Engineer graduate from NSIT of batch 2016. I have been working in a startup as operations manager from 20th, June'16 and was fired from my job on 27th, March'17 and I do not even have any document proving that I was working there apart from the offer letter and my bank statement. The point of telling you all this is that I started preparing for CAT in last week February when I was working and have joined a coaching institute but later the above incident happened. Since the above incident, I have been trying to find another job but have failed at finding a decent one and my preparation has taken a toll since then. I have not been able to focus on my preparations as I am extensively looking for a job. Now I am totally confused as to find a job or to focus on my preparation for CAT. What should I do know? what are my chances to get a call from OLD IIM's if I do get good percentile or how much should I score to get a call from old IIMs? I do not know what should I do at this point of time. My credentials graduation-68.5% 12th-90.6% 10th-87.4% Caste- OBC-NCL job experience - 10 months
