As per last year, cutoff for PGDIM was around 97%ile and sectionals between 86-89. For PGDISEM, overall cutoff was around 95%ile and sectionals between 80-85. They might change this year depending on the applicant pool. This is just to give you an idea. Wish you the best!

Assuming that you have applied to both the programs, we feel that you have a strong chance of getting a call from PGDISEM while PGDIM maybe a long shot. There are profiles for which freshers are preferred. If you have a good academic record you will surely get plenty of company shortlists. That said, its always beneficial to have some work exp under your belt when you are entering a management program. However, purely from the perspective of placements, being a fresher will not put you at a disadvantage in NITIE unless you have very poor acads.

Placements info is confidential and report is not out yet. But rest assured, NITIE has a record of 100% placements over the years and this year is no different. Also, at NITIE students get to choose the profiles they want to work in and are not hurried into accepting positions just for the sake of completing placements before time. All our students get paid internships at companies which have to fulfill a particular criteria to recruit on campus. Quality of profiles offered are not compromised with at NITIE.

Most students have an inclinations towards SCM, but the number of those who want Fin roles is also increasing steadily. As you can see from the placement reports, the number of Fin roles is increasing every year. For HR what we feel is that the students at NITIE are generally not that inclined towards the field.
