Hi Rahul, You can always divide your answer into 3 buckets. First explain what was the reason to choose your graduation stream. Then talk about how you got to know about the MBA program and how it fits with the career you forsee for yourself in the futute. Finally, talk about the skill set that your graduation added and how that can help you excel in a B-School. All the best!

Hi Dhinesh, Since you have 2 years of experience, a lot of your interview might revolve around your job role and responsibilities. But certain institutes (eg IIM K) are known to ask questions pertaining to your undergraduation. I would advice you to take up 2 favorite subjects from your course and prepare them thoroughly and you will be good to go. All the best!

Hi Vikrant. You sure can! The interviewers usually ask about your preferred subjects from college. Even if they end up asking from some other subject which you aren't comfortable with, you can politely tell them about your interests and steer the interview towards your zone of comfort. All the best!

Hi, fresher here with graduation in engineering (electronics and communication). I understand I would be quizzed on academics. So how do I go about it? Choose 2-3 subjects and be thorough in them? Try revising concepts from all subjects?

Hi Deepali, The interviewers usually ask about your preferred subjects. Be ready with atleast 2 subjects from your graduation. For Agribusiness Manangement, the two schools that offer this course are IIM A and IIM L. If you get a call from these, the PI might revolve around your graduation since it is associaited with the course. Again those 2-3 favorite subjects need to be prepared. All the best!

Hi Pankaj, Being honest is good. But I would suggest you to be a bit more specific than this. Like growth in which area, or what career do you foresee for yourself in the future, and how your engineering degree gives you the skill set to do so. Put some more time into framing the answer and you will be good to go. All the best!

Hi Harsh, You might be asked questions regarding your graduation subjects. So like I mentioned in the earlier chats, be thoroughly prepared with 2 subjects from graduation. You might also get asked 'Why MBA after your CA'. So you need to be ready on that front as well. All the best!

Hi Panshul, Since you have 2 different shifts, you might certainly be needed to explain your choices. If you have a good reason for the field change then it won't be a problem. Just try to explain how your previous experience will help you be better at what you plan to do in future. Talk about the skill sets developed and how your career goals will be fulfilled through the MBA program. All the best!

Hi Ashutosh, It's always better to go in depth than run after a lot of things. I would advise you to restrict your preparation to 2-3 subjects and be thorough with them. Also, since you are a fresher be updated on what are the new trends in your stream(ECE). All the best!

Hi Jithin, Don't worry. You can always tell the panel about why that happened (For instance, lack of interest in the course, lack of time management). Just admit the situation and then try to shift it towards either what your learnings were or how you utilised that time to do some other activity of your interest. All the best!

Hi Gaurav, Being interested is definitely important! Having a good understanding is not a requirement but a big plus. Taking a few courses will help you justify how you developed your interest in the field in the first place. Rest you might be asked about what career do you want in the future since finance domain is quite vast. So update yourself with different profiles and the sub-domains. All the best.
