So.. we've quite a few events happening in our campus.. The Flaghip events that are open to external participants are Eximius (entrepreneurial), Vista and Unmaad (cultural).. In addition to this.. We've many other intra institute events which occur every week.. They're organized by the various student clubs.. For eg: Sigma, the tech club, organizes Gaming events, The lit club organizes weekly quizzes over email, etc..

Surprise quizzes and tests are dependent on the Prof.. There have been classes where just when we think its over, an invigilator walks in with a question paper and there have been situations where the Prof announces a session before.. Regarding schedule.. Well it's crazy and jam packed.. Routines are difficult to keep up with..

With such a jam packed schedule, can one give sufficient time to the various clubs at IIM B or even actively participate in the festivals held? Is it true that the first year is more rigorous than the second year? Also, when do student exchange programs take place and how are the students selected?

Yes.. it all boils down to prioritizing and being smart in working.. Exchange happens in the fifth term which is from September to November.. The students are allowed to choose the colleges based on their first term GPA..

Your undergrad score is low. We can't predict selection criteria for CAT 2017 easily right now. You will need a 99+ clearly in CAT. For more such queries please ask under the ASK section on the top menu

Students can choose the electives from third term.. And yes, there are limits, mostly it is 75 students per course.. and there is a bidding system where in every student is allocated 1000 points and is expected to bid for the subjects of their choice.. Those with the highest bidding get the subject..

It's mostly case based. There's a balance 80-20% with majority of classes dedicated to cases and case submissions. Besides we have class participation marks so another reason to read up the cases before class :)
