Hi Rishika, Work experience doesn't play a huge role in getting a better job offer or a higher package. There will be a level playing field with respect to that when it comes to placements.

do companies filter the students with respect to work ex in placements???

Ok . Is there any difference between the roles and package offered by the same companies when they go to IIM Ahemdabad and when they come to IIM Indore or does the job offer depends entirely on the student and not the institute he/she is studying at?

    1. For some of the roles, depending on the requirement of the firm, students do get shortlisted based on work experience. 2. But, work experience is just one of the many factors on which students get shortlisted. So students with work ex don't have an advantage as such.

There is a difference, both in terms of roles and packages, but it's not substantial.

    1. 16-17 LPA, across all top b-schools. 2. But, again there is difference in package across the B-Schools. Top ones get a slightly higher package.

how many company interviews can we attend depending on our sector???

    1. The difference as I said is small. 2. It depends on the nature of the institute. For example, IIM C gets better finance related roles than the other IIMs, and IIM I gets better Marketing roles, and IIM A gets better Consulting profiles. 3. The impact it has on your career is small again, because ultimately the role that you get matters more than the firm. The difference between getting x role at the best firm and the same at the 2nd best one is small.
