Hi! From what I understand about the question, you are trying to understand the areas related to Human Resources which still face problems and are constantly in the discussion regards to the problems and possible solutions. Is that right?

Yes. name one area HR tries to solve but isn't able to solve since its age old establishment as profession. What are some temporary solutions?

Some of the hot issues related to HR are talent retention (the workforce is becoming exceedingly complex as three generations now work together. Retaining millennials is a challenge because of various factors, like rewards and recognition policies, organisation structre etc.), HR analytics (using data to maximize the efficacy of HR related decisions etc)

What about MHA programs? 5. How many faculty are temporary and how many permanent in HRM? 6. What research and internships are in international opportunities and how many go for them? 7. Is it true that HR by nature demands us to be extroverted and socialable? 8. Why do companies openly ask for women for hiring?

    2. There are firms which hire HR consultants - ex. Hay Group. There are plenty of opportunities in this sector 3. Could you please elaborate on this question? 4. It is not as hectic as other colleges, but it is busy all the same. I am not qualified to answer any questions about the MHA program, sorry:) 5. I am not too sure about that. The School of Human Resource Management and Labour Relations has three courses (MA HRM&LR, MA Social Entreprenuership, MA Globalisation and Labour) and hence there are adequate faculty members. Many of our visiting faculty memebers are industry experts and professionals. 6. There is one international internship offered, and one student goes for it generally. 7. I personally disagree with that notion. HR is not about arranging birthday parties and being 'fun'. HR is a strategic partner to the business hence, like any other vertical there is plenty of opportunity to be yourself. However all corporate require excellent communication skills and ability to be a team player. 8. Many companies believe in what is called affirmative action. This means that if they have a position open and they have two equally qualified candidate they would prefer a candidate who brings diversity to the table. However, rest assured all companies look for competence first and foremost.

Sir, welcome to this chat! I am from the HRM&LR course hence I will not be able to tell you if the DS course will be aligned to her aspirations. As far as I know, there is no reservation for single girl child.

The exam consists of 100 questions. 35% are based on GK, and the rest on Verbal and Quantitative Ability and Logical Reasoning. There are plenty of resources available online. However, I would suggest the following: GK - Manorama, Competition Success Review, Pratiyogita Darpan etc. Quant and Verbal - Arun Sharma and R S Aggarwal

Hi Aayush. Unfortunately, I am not aware of the exact cut off. This is a guess, mind you, but it might be around 60-65. The program is distinctive, and has a lot of focus on hands on experience and a theoretical perspective.

    2. I am not too aware about this. As far as I have heard, people do additional degrees, but rarely another MBA. 8. I disagree. Each company has their own numbers that they aim for and hence hiring is done accordingly. As far as my internships are concerned, I really couldn't say ( I hardly spent counting the number of men and women in each office :) ) 9. The small batch size which allows you to know all of your classmates, four fieldwork internships in four different sectors, diversity of people and experiences, and of course the fantastic placement figures for Human Resources

    8. madam,I never expected to count genders and keep score for company. I thought if you noticed this sexist trend in internships. 9. Batch size is 60+ (large);internships are lesser in IIML(haha)? Diversity and experiences is lacking in IIML(NO)? Placement figures for investment banking which IIML is famous for, are highest league Indians after MBA can get. Anyway, Could you please help through Facebook account (Kindly check message requests ) or any other platform for further doubts and clarifications as it requires me to divulge some personal information. Thank you.
