And also, for the sub-sections are there separate cutoffs? Eg, a separate RC and verbal ability cutoff?

Data Interpretation is not equal to calculation. For decades people have taken entrance exams without a calculator. Data interpretation tests your ability to understand data. The calculation part is based on your level of practice but everyone will not have access to calculator so everyone should technically be equally fast or slow. Practice previous year's DI sets and understand the logic behind it - try to solve using calculation short cuts

There are only overall sectional cutoffs

Ideal number of questions depends on your accuracy levels and what percentiles are you aiming for. I would be able to answer you better if you can give your target.

Assuming a 85% accuracy, you will have to attempt about 65 to get a 50 score

Nothing much you can do right now in these 3 days. Better read up on people in positions of responsibility currently like RBI governor and deputy governor, Indian ministers etc.

Akshay, once again, RC cannot be improved in the last moment just like GK. So if you can attempt 2 sets, so be it. But move on to the other parts and attempt those.

My advice for last two days - do not start any new topic. Just revise. But yes solve 2-3 sets of RC. Don't take stress on corrects and wrongs. Just make sure that you are in the practice of RCs over the next 3 days. Same goes for DI and LR. Keep solving 3 - 3 sets from each. If possible, take two full length mock and not more than that. But analyze the mistakes you are making in the mocks

Since IIFT is pen paper based exam and we have been giving mocks on laptop/desktop, I am a bit uncertain how much time will I have to account for filling OMR sheets? Also, is it advisable to fill OMR sheet after every question or after each section ?

Thats a good question. Please fill the OMR sheet ASAP. So do it question wise. I have come across enough cases where the students didn't get time in the end to fill the OMR sheet because they overshot the time or didn't stop solving on time to fill the sheet. So if that happens, you will lose the whole paper!
