Good Evening Kedar, We have some of the best faculties here at IIM Ranchi. One more fact that I consider as an advantage unique to IIM Ranchi is that we have a lot of visiting faculty from IIM Calcutta. Especially in the second year most of the important electives are taught by the visiting faculties

All our placement reports get audited from an external agency. You can refer the previous year reports. Avg package is 15.14 lakhs p.a.

Ranchi is known as the city of waterfalls. We have had many class trips to the waterfalls. There are really great restaurants from mid level to star hotels like Radisson Blue where we hold our TEDx talks and some parties. There are pubs too. But the only downside is that the pubs arenot as good as those which we find in metro cities. I personally miss dance floors here :)

The normal chain restaurants like KFC, Dominoz, Chocolate Room etc also are available at Ranchi

Most probably it would take at least two more years for the permanent campus to come up. However that has never deterred IIM Ranchi to be one of the best among the new IIMs.

The hostel facilities here are rated to be one of the best among all the new IIMs and even comparable to some of the old IIMs. Because the location is really scenic and peaceful

how much it will hurt my pocket in two years at IIM-R, including fees, lodging, party, boozing, dating, roaming, and if I took exchange as well, is ROI worth ?

Being in Ranchi is an advantage because it is not as costly as the metros and still you get to have all the amenities. This year 13.6 lakhs is the fees and other expenses depend on you. However I can vouch for the fact that ROI of IIM Ranchi is the highest of all the IIMs
